Global Examples:

• US: Create "+1 415 XXX XXXX" to block all +1 415 numbers
• UK: Create "+44 XX XXXX XXXX" to block all calls from the UK

Example:

To block all numbers from France, add a rule with the countrycode “33” and a dump phone number after that e.g. “123456789”, then set a 9-digit rule to block all +33 XXXXXXXXX numbers.

How can I block a number directly from the Phone app?
1. In the Phone app, find the number in recent calls and tap the "i" icon.
2. Tap "Share Contact" and select "Call Ranger" from the options.
3. Configure your blocking rules by choosing how many digits to wildcard.
4. The number will be immediately blocked for future calls.


How do I block numbers from within the Call Ranger app?
1. Enable Call Ranger in iOS Settings: Phone -> Call Blocking & Identification.
2. Open the app, tap "Setup your Blocking rules" then enter the country code and the full number.
3. Choose how many digits to wildcard (up to 12).
Example: '4151234567' with 7 wildcards becomes "415XXXXXXX" - blocks from +1 4150000000 to +1 4159999999
Tip: Start with 6-7 wildcards. Higher numbers (7+ wildcards) take much longer to process and can be resource-intensive.


Why does adding large datasets (7+ digits) take a long time?
Adding rules with 7 or more digit wildcards can take several minutes to complete, depending on your device's processing speed. This happens because CallKit must process and store a large number of rule combinations in the database.

This is normal behavior. To ensure the process completes successfully:
• Keep Call Ranger open and active during the process
• Don't switch to other apps or put Call Ranger in the background
• Interrupting the process may cause database conflicts that require reinstalling the rules


Why i cannot install Call Ranger on my iOS device?
Call Ranger is a CallKit extension app which works on the latest iOS versions, for devices running iOS 11 and upper.


How can i block all unwanted calls on my lists?
Open Call Ranger, tap on "Settings" option on the bottom and switch ON "Block unwanted calls" option. When you'll receive a scam call that is included on your rules, it would be blocked automatically.


How do I identify unwanted calls without blocking them?
Open Call Ranger, tap on "Settings" option on the bottom and switch ON "Identify unwanted calls" option. When you'll receive a scam call that is included on your rules, your phone will ring with a mark of unwanted caller on the screen.
